    Chairman of AZ – Law & Conflict Resolution (AZ – LCR), berpengalaman lebih dari 20 tahun menangani kasus sengketa dan resolusi konflik dalam berbagai pembangunan, termasuk bidang sumber daya alam yang terkait sektor pertanahan, kehutanan, perkebunan, pertambangan, perairan dan kelautan, dan lingkungan hidup. Profesi sehari-hari sebagai sebagai Mediator bersertifikat dan Advokat (anggota PERADI), Asesor/ Auditor, dan spesialisasi resolusi konflik.

    Ahmad Zazali, S.H. berpengalaman dalam perumusan kebijakan Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah, Kebijakan Resolusi Konflik, mengembangkan berbagai kegiatan Non Litigasi pada Kantor Bantuan Hukum, Narasumber/Fasilitator Pelatihan (Advokasi Kebijakan, Pemetaan Partisipatif, FPIC, HAM dan Resolusi Konflik, Keterampilan Pemetaan Konflik, Negosiasi, Mediasi).  Menjadi pendiri dan pernah menjadi Pengawas maupun Eksekutif  di berbagai lembaga advokasi dan resolusi konflik, Seperti Mitra Bentala – Lampung, Walhi Lampung, Kaliptra Andalas, Scale Up, KBH Riau, Jikalahari, Walhi Riau, FKKM Riau. Hingga ini Ahmad Zazali, S.H. adalah Direktur Eksekutif IMN (Jaringan Mediator Indonesia), Wakil Ketua DPC PERADI Bantul – Yogyakarta, dan Ketua Umum Yayasan Harmony Indonesia.

    Berperan dalam hal penanganan kasus sengketa/ konflik yang berkaitan dengan sumber daya alam, diantaranya:

    • Mediator dalam penyelesaian konflik antara Perusahaan Hutan Tanaman Industri (HTI) dengan Masyarakat Adat/Desa di Riau (2007-2008, 2011 – 2012), Sumatera Selatan (2014 – 2017), Kalimantan Timur (2014-2016, 2016-2017), Kalimantan Barat (2014 -2018), Kalimantan Utara (2016 – 2018).
    • Mediator Konflik antara Perusahaan perkebunan sawit dengan masyarakat Adat/Desa di  Riau (2008 –  2009), Aceh (2017-sekarang),  Sumatera Barat (2017 – sekarang), Kalimantan Barat (2017 – sekarang), Kalimantan Tengah (2016-2017).
    • Mediator Konflik masyarakat lokal dengan Perusahaan Restorasi Ekosistem di  Jambi (2014 – 2016)
    • Mediator Konflik antar perusahaan perkebunan sawit (BUMN – BUMS) di Kalimantan Timur (2015).
    • Mediator Konflik tenurial antara Masyarakat Adat/Desa dan manajemen Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan (KPH) di Aceh (2016-sekarang), Sumatera Barat (2016), dan Lampung (2016 – 2017).
    • Mediator Konflik Tata Batas antar desa di Kalimantan Barat (2016).

    Chairman of AZ Law & Conflict Resolution (AZ – LCR), has 20 years’ experience in handling natural dispute/conflict case such as land, forestry, mining, maritime and marine, and environmental. His day to day profession is as an advocate (Indonesian Advocates Association) and a certified mediator, assessor/auditor, and conflict resolution specialist.

    Some professional experience Ahmad Zazali, S.H. at the regional and national levels have been initiated starting from as a member of Riau Provincial Spatial Plan Revision Team (RTRWP) Riau (2004), Head of Non-Litigation Sector, Riau Legal Aid Office (2003-2007), Participatory Mapping Facilitator and member of JKPP – Network Participatory Mapping, Bogor (1999-present), Vice Chairman of DPC PERADI Bantul, Yogyakarta (2017-present), and active as a board member and member of various advocacy and conflict resolution institutions.

    In case cases, especially cases of disputes / conflicts related to natural resources, have been resolved. Among them:

    • Conflict between Industrial Timber Plantation Company (HTI) with Community 1 Village in Siak District – Riau, 2007 – 2008 (partially completed-agreement).
    • Conflict between Oil palm plantation company and community 1 Village in RegencyIndragiri Hulu – Riau, March 2008 – March 2009 (partially completed-agreement).
    • Conflict of indigenous peoples (14 villages) in Kuantan Singingi – Riau regency with oil palm plantation companies to encourage land conflict resolution based on RSPO principles and criteria, from July 2008 – June 2010 (partially agreed).
    • Community Conflicts (14 villages) with Industrial Timber Plantation (HTI) Company in Kepulauan Meranti – Riau Regency, December 2011 – February 2012 (recommendation to the Minister of Forestry).
    • Community conflict (1 hamlet or village) with Ecosystem Restoration Company in Batanghari District – Jambi, July 2014 – January 2016 (Completed – Agreement).
    • Community Conflicts (1 villages) in Ketapang District – West Kalimantan with 2 Management of Industrial Timber Plantation (HTI), November 2014 – present (Process towards Full Agreement).
    • Conflict of boundary between two villages in Kapuas Hulu District – West Kalimantan, June 2015 – May 2016 (Completed – agreement and ceremony of peace).
    • Community conflict (1 village) in Kutai Kartanegara District – East Kalimantan with Industrial Timber Plantation Company (HTI), November 2014 – July 2016 (Completed – Agreement).
    • Conflict between 2 oil palm plantation companies (BUMN) in Kabupeten Paser – East Kalimantan, November 2015 (Partial Agreement).
    • Tenure conflict between 3 Mukim villages and management of Forest Management Units (KPH) in Aceh Besar District, May 2016 – present (in the facilitation process).
